Christian Wernle can look back on a long, successful career in the fashion business.

The Basel based Swiss designer has always designed collections and had his own stores.

In 2007 he made his international breakthrough with his former label "Swiss-Chriss".

The jackets made from recycled Swiss army sleeping bags were a bestseller in Italy, Scandinavia, Canada and Japan and even got Christian Wernle into Italian Vogue, among countless other publications.

His new label "Edel" doesn't just focus on sustainability, with its bright colors

and graffiti-inspired prints, "Edel" just sparkles with joie de vivre

and is strongly reminiscent of the pop culture of the carefree 80's.

That's exactly the feeling Wernle wants to convey to the wearer with his  timeless

collection, which is not based on fast-moving trends:

"Follow your heart, love what you do and wear what you love".
